Moments from DreamWakers Black History Month Celebration
Every February, in celebration and acknowledgment of Black History Month, we highlight our incredible Black DreamSpeakers who share their stories with the next generation. This year, our DreamEducators came to us with a record number of BHM flashchat requests. As a result, we hosted 51 flashchats this February, reaching nearly 2,000 DreamStudents across 17 states, setting a monthly flashchat record for DreamWakers.
The flashchat snapshots below capture a small representation of the inspiration and magic from these important conversations. We invite you to share in our appreciation and celebration of Black History Month and the connections fostered through flashchats throughout February.
DreamWakers’ mission is to help students see what they can be. Year-round we connect students across the country with career professionals who look like them so that the youth of America can truly see themselves in the faces of their role models.
