Math SAT Score Calculator – Raw to Scaled

The College Board uses a process called "equating" to create a unique conversion table for each official SAT test date. This adjusts for minor variations in difficulty between different tests. Our calculator uses a representative, non-linear conversion curve that provides a highly accurate estimate of your scaled score based on your total number of correct answers (your raw score).

The sub-scores provided by our tool are estimates. They are calculated by proportionally distributing your total raw score across the three main content categories based on the typical structure of an SAT Math test. They provide a valuable directional insight into your potential strengths and weaknesses but may differ slightly from your official report.

For competitive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs, admissions committees place a heavy emphasis on the Math section score. While it varies by university, a score of 700 or higher is often considered strong for these programs, with top-tier universities frequently seeing applicants with scores of 750 and above.
